Giving Thanks From a distance

Giving thanks is not just an act that should be done on thanksgiving, it is an act that should be given at all times in your life. Thanksgiving is a day that all come together giving thanks for one another. I myself must remember that though I am far from family and my husband, that I must still remain thankful for everything god has blessed me with. I have a wonderful husband who loves me and cares for me, and that itself is a true blessing. I know around the holidays I can tend to get a little emotional when I am not around family. I joined the army so I knew what I was getting myself into. But despite my disadvantage I am still very blessed and humbled by the thought of those who love me and are thankful for me in their life as they are to me.

Whenever you feel down about not being around family remember that everything is only for the moment and things always get better. I may miss my family but I am thankful to be alive, loved, and celebrating this moment today. I must remind myself that this is not the only time of year I can celebrate this moment. I can celebrate thanks any day of my life. For those of you who are not able to be home for the holidays or surrounded by those who you love. Please remember life gets better and be thankful for everyone in your life and those who surround you with comfort. There are many men and women who are not abled to be home for the holidays and I say to all of you,  Have a blessed thanksgiving and I am thankful to be serving next to all of you.

This is the opportunity to reflect on the things god has blessed you with that has benefit your life. My blessing was my husband and his family. They welcomed me with opened arms and love and I could not ask for better In laws. I am grateful and thankful to be apart of such a beautiful family. I am also thankful for my family and though I can not be there to share this moment with you I am truly blessed and thank god for giving me a loving and caring family. Happy holidays to all and have a great thanksgiving.
